Whirl impeller pumps

Whirl impeller pumps, Biral type FWC

If waste water has to be removed, whirl impeller pumps have several convincing advantages:
  • large sphere size
  • little risk of blockage
  • constant delivery
  • low maintenance costs

For these reasons we have extended our standard range (available from Münsingen stock) and today present a survey of the current product range:

  • FWC 65-210/170
  • FWC 65-210/209
  • FWC 80-240/183
  • FWC 80-240/219
  • FWC 80-240/239
  • FWC 100-290/231
  • FWC 100-290/269
Recommended applications - Where should which pump be installed? The following table shows a classification of possible fields of application:
(The list is not final)

Unique feature:
The impeller of a whirl impeller pump is set back in the casing.

This means:
  • this design feature provides a wider and more open passage, without the delivery medium having to pass a bottleneck.
  • long-fibred solid matter tending to entwine can be pumped away without blocking in the pump casing.
  • practically no wear in the hydraulics, since solid matter is fed past the impeller. This maintains the delivery without having to make adjustments.
  • the high turbulence, which is also effective below the pump, whirls up the major part of the solid matter and this is pumped away with the delivery medium. This reduces costs for manual sump cleaning.
